Cardinal Müller has firmly opposed the German Synodal Way, calling it a “suicide process” and comparing its decision-making processes to the 1933 Enabling Act that gave Hitler sweeping powers. He also called it “a self-appointed assembly, which is not authorized by God nor by the people it is supposed to represent.”
