Cardinal Pizzaballa has made no statement regarding Traditionis Custodes, but associates say he “has no problem with the celebration of the traditional Mass” and that the issue is “rather moot” as the cardinal is immersed in “the great diversity of rites within the Catholic Church (Latin, Byzantine, Maronite, Syrian, Armenian).”
