Cardinal Angelo Scola has clearly and consistently upheld the Church’s teaching on Humanae Vitae and artificial contraception, stressing the importance of the indissolubility of the unitive and procreative aspects in the conjugal act, and stating that these two aspects cannot be separated. He has always opposed the use of artificial contraception, in accordance with Humanae Vitae, and continues to oppose it.
