Cardinal Sturla is skeptical of the model of synodality having seen it at work in Latin America. “It did not have a special resonance,” he said, failed to be “representative of most participants, and had “many shortcomings,” He was similarly critical of the Synod on Synodality, saying it was too inward looking and would fail because of that.
